Since its beginnings in 1993, Team Bruce Shepherd has been one of the premiere Brazilian JiuJitsu teams/academies in the world. Training top-level students, hosting seminars with the biggest and best names in the sport, all while offering a safe and fun environment for any level practitioner to learn the sport of Brazilian JiuJItsu. A talented martial artist, Helio Gracie, along with his brothers, founded what we know today as Brazilian JiuJitsu. Often referred to as the grandfather of BJJ, Helio's legacy lives on in his students and their students.

Founder and owner of Kioto Brazilian JiuJitsu, Grandmaster Mansor has dedicated over 50 years to the practice, study, and teaching of BJJ. He is one of only 6 people outside of the Gracie family to receive his instructors rank from Helio Gracie. We are beyond fortunate to have a living legend as part of our lineage.

Professor Bruce Shepherd has trained Brazilian JiuJitsu since 1993. He has trained and competed all over the world, bringing home medals and a treasure trove of knowledge. Professor Shepherd is unmatched in his technical and practical application of JiuJitsu.

Our new facility offers two spacious training areas, covered in high quality Zebra mats. Locker rooms and shower are located along the main corridor. Gladiator wall and equipment are available for training. Gi's, rash guards, t-shirts and more can be found in the Pro-Shop by the front entrance.
